Lapping Pebbles (Short Poem 2026)

Short poem: Intro

I thought I'd write another short poem, a pebble poem. Keeping it along the lines of inspirational poetry, too. 

Although I find it's less challenging to write short poetry, I love how it encapsulates one or two points to consider. And so often it inspires:

• hope
• encouragement
• belief
• meaning

So ponder and enjoy!

Lapping Pebbles

Still they lie in blending colours 

Rippling aqua distorting their view

Sparkling, dancing, smiling waters

Looking down on their stillness

Embracing their stillness

And earthy stillness embracing the sand
